Get your son in a club, freestyle, folkstyle, greco he will get all the mat time he needs/wants.Middle school wrestling is for the most part introductory and most of the top kids are bored also. Much like HS varsity tennis where the best kids either don't play or only play a year or two because other than the social aspect it doesn't benefit them.
