First of all, Stordahl is the overlord of the WOA which is the Washington Officials Association. The WIAA is the group that runs Mat Classic. They contract with the WOA to get officials, not to run the tournament.

Secondly, sounds like the top 8 get through, 32 kids per weight get to experience the state tournament, their parents get to share that experience and the WIAA is able to make some money. Where is the bad in all this.
