Actually, team dual results don't have any impact on the team rankings because how a team does in duals is a separate issue from how they will end up at an INDIVIDUAL tournament, the Mat Classic specifically.

Some time this year a coach was telling me about how one team was a "day one team" and the other team was a "day 2 team". I had never heard if phrased that way but I totally knew what he was talking about. A team with lots of "good" wrestlers will score a bunch of advancement points on the first day but maybe not advance many on to the second day. Another team with 4 state champs, and little else, may be trailing on the first day but score the heavy points in the finals to win the title. Which team do you think will win the dual, the team with 14 state participants or the team with 4 state champs? I still remember years ago when Kentwood sent 3 guys to state and came within 1/2 point of winning it. They had three state champs. Not sure how they did is duals but that is by memory 20 years ago but I think it is accurate.
