While I’m glad the facilities were accommodating for your standards, only boys’ side ran smoothly, the girls were treated unfairly. Their mats were cut from 3 to 2, then they were kicked out early so the boys could use all 8 mats. Most girls only wrestle one match Friday. On Day 2, poor scheduling from the previous day meant girls who lost early couldn’t even wrestle back for 3rd place without exceeding their match day limits, a restriction the boys didn’t face. When coaches tried to address the issue and find a solution,, the tournament director was dismissive and even hostile. It’s clear the girls were an afterthought, and this is a blatant Title IX issue. I get the boys had more participants, but he should’ve put a limit on entries or had a plan in place beforehand, knowing how many teams and wrestlers signed up. Total shitshow. Seems to me the missing “top teams” are on to something by skipping this one
