Also, the big weak metro type districts will now unjustly send more to state. Now let’s take 4a GSHL who only has 4 teams. 3 of those 4 teams placed and finished in the top 10 last year. That small district in the past because they are tough could take 3 or 4 to stake out of regionals. Now they will take 2 per weight class. A few of there weight classes wil probably leave out previous state participants and placers. It is just terrible for tough small districts, is what it is, but regionals ensured the best kids made it through.
