It’s encouraging to see the debate regarding Evergreen College wrestling has largely changed on this forum… I remember how low-information people along with bleeding-heart liberals defended the school as a great candidate for the re-birth of a Washington four-year program… All while pretending the school’s radical history of extreme left-wing Marxist ideologies didn’t exist. Or pretending the program ever had a chance of success while operating under their Critical Theory ideologies. Now I’m hearing more truth as it pertains to a consensus that the college is straight garbage and has been long before the wrestling program was erected. Which is vindication for those of us who rang the warning bells long before the first whistle was ever blown.

These days, we’re arguing whether Greg is a part of the problem or not. To this, I ask myself what I would do if I were in Greg’s situation (assuming I took the job to begin with, which I never would’ve). Answer: I would simply stand on the principal of “right and wrong” and not allow the AD to pawn my program around at their leisure. Here’s an example (in the NIC case), “WE WRESTLE TONIGHT OR YOU FIND YOURSELF A NEW COACH”. Simply put, Greg IS a part of the problem if he doesn’t stand on principal by giving the AD an ultimatum. And since it’s Evergreen, go ahead and use their own tactics against them by dropping the race card at the AD's doorstep. 😊
