Lester Brown was a physical freak of nature , and Peter Barnes, though never a state champion, was one of the best wrestlers in the state to never win it , with wins over countless top-tier opponents.
As for the 2002 4A 119-pound weight class—man, that was a stacked bracket! Luke Kuhn came in undefeated and as the Tri-State champ, but he ended up taking 7th! And keep in mind, this was back when Tri-State was a serious tournament, one of the toughest in the western region.
2003 4A 103 and 4A 112 would blow those other aforementioned lower weight brackets out the water, The accolades may not match but the talent was undeniable
