This is where we are headed. I agree that some tough regions get some kids that get left out and they could place at state. But for the most part a lot of these first couple rounds will be quick due to lack of talent. However I do like they will seed the state tournament through track wrestling and who you have beat. If a 3rd at district kid beat a district champion from across the state during the season than the district champion should not be ranked over a kid that he has lost to. It will be a true seeding which will take longer but will get us the best matchups further into the tournament. The coaches that do not like this are the ones that do not use track wrestling and will now be forced to in order to seed their wrestlers
