Day 1 Group one
Day 2 AM Group two preliminary rounds
Day 2 PM Group one placing and finals
Day 3 Group two later rounds and placing/finals
This makes the most sense to me and it seems like you don't need to reinvent the wheel when it works well in Oregon. You just need to figure out how to split the groups up evenly.
Oregon does the small school boys and girls in group one and the big school boys and girls in group two.
