Hi,

I’m the Vice President of the Western Wrestling Team. Today is our university’s give day, all donations are matched by the university. We are student run and student funded so all donations help immensely. Our program is quickly growing and getting better each and every year. I know some people out there think the club programs are a lost cause but those people also aren’t fully in the scope of conversation. I know for fact that Western is on the right track and is closer to a varsity 4 year program than most people would think. Regardless of when a university in Washington adds a true 4 year program these clubs provide the opportunity to compete at high level competition and continue competing. I have wrestled against those in NAIA to D1. These programs also are building the next leaders of our community. Multiple alumni are now coaches of High school and middle school teams. Their experience against these upper level competitors will make our youth better and then raise the level of Washington Wrestlers as a whole.
