The Othello’s girls program has been making changes to improve. Sammy Rocha, longtime Othello USA club coach and assistant high school coach, took over the girls Middle School program this year. He and the Othello AD, separated the girls season from the boys and moved it to the fall, and are now competing with the Yakima Valley Schools. They did this so they could go against harder competition and give them more of a realistic season comparable to high school. As far as current and upcoming talent, Grayce Mendez will be an incoming freshman. Grace Rocha will be a Junior, and Addie Russell, will be an incoming 7th grader. Mendez and Russell have both won multiple USA State and TOA championships.
