The second biggest reason why Metro wrestling lags behind other conferences is participation in the sport. While the population overall is way higher per capita on the west side, there are comparatively a lot fewer wrestlers, specifically in King county. I could be wrong, but I bet in overall number of HS wrestlers, it's actually pretty comparable between the west and east sides.
