I like video replay but it adds a layer of complexity in both time and technology that may not be practical. I will tell you that I am going up this weekend to ref at the British Columbia Provincial Championships and they do use video replay. Last time I was there in 2020 they had a college wrestler sitting in the corner of every match with a tablet video recording. If there was a protest they call the head official over and he watched the tape and made the call. The buck stopped there with him. He ran around a lot that day but it worked but I think they probably only had 12 mats down. I think they may do it the same way at the NCAA championships but I don't know. I know that at the USAW Junior Nationals They had video review available for the finals only but last time I reffed there was 10 years ago so things may have changed.
