Thats BTB for clarifying. The way this played out absolutely blows my mind. A kid almost had a state title stolen from him. Not on a questionable stall call, no close calls on a takedown, not a question of whether time was out in the clock. This was a straight up miss application of the rules that almost screwed this kid. How did none of the multiple refs involved know the rule? And why didn’t some other ref on the side run up and set them straight? Screw protocol, we can’t let the wrong kid win!!! I’ve never seen anything like this. I’m just glad the correct kid ended up winning.
