That finals match was the most shameful and unbelievable thing I’ve seen in a long time. It was downright heartbreaking that an official would be allowed to interfere in a state finals match to that degree. As I sat in the stands and watched the manifestation of one of the biggest officiating failures ever, I was saddened for both wrestlers as there hard work and dedication was being dictated and decided by a third entity. It was not only unacceptable, it was appalling and disgraceful to the sport of wrestling. And to the young man who finally had his state title and dreams stripped away....well my hats off to you. Your sportsmanship and resilience was commendable. Shame on you WIAA and your unqualified referee interference on one of your biggest and most important responsibility days.You should be ashamed of yourself and your sub par/low quality officiating. Do better.
