Anyone else think the late takedown in curry / Chichenoff match was the worst of the day?? How the ref gives Curry the takedown with an unsecured merkle attempt was a so wrong.

If you watched the match, you can see that even curry thought he lost when the match ended. He was holding on for his dear life NOT to give up a takedown with little time left; not trying to secure one.

His foot wasn’t hooked and the head wasn’t controlled. Chichenoff was just trying to pull his head back to finalize the takedown and the ref gives curry a takedown followed immediately by a reversal when chichenoffs head popped out right after the takedown was called.

I just hate to see any kid lose his chances at a state title like that.
