Watching,

I am just waiting for some skinny, young guy (like I was 30 years ago) to take my place so I can just kick back and go as a fan to whatever. I have several older friends in my group that are wishing the same thing. BTW, we are so thin in numbers that I think we had to tap into the JV corp to fill out the district slots and every available varsity official is at regionals. We promoted two new guys into our state rotation for the future and will be looking at more as the Medicare corp needs to move on. To move on we need a bunch more "younger, fit referees" that can get the job done to join up. Every year someone complains about younger, less experienced refs not getting to state but I here even more complaints about refs that do get to state and perform poorly. It is a two edged sword.
