R in Valley had a MANY tough brackets—126 was one of them. There were many of us who didn’t give Benitas the respect he deserved coming into the tourney. We were WRONG! He’s gooooood. Again, the entire bracket was stacked with numerous matches that could have gone either way. The kid from Burbank was also a surprise to many—only losing to Curry, Chichenoff and Sullivan all in tight, exciting matches.
Eyman from Eburg is over-ranked (nothing personal). Chichenoff beat him convincingly and Sullivan beat him as well. He placed 7th. Chichenoff has also beaten Sullivan 2 times and is 1-1 against Johnson. He also beat Ian from ML convincingly earlier in the year (wrestled up at 132). He’s lost 3 times now of which one he was up by 6 before he walked off the mat too sick to continue and 3-2 to a top-ranked kid (forgot name). I wish he didn’t have to forfeit the 3/4 match against Curryl…. that would have been another fun match to watch!
Thanks again Dave.
