2. Yes, that is a good option for a weekend or two.
3. SEcond chance brackets are good, but I just feel like it is not the best wrestling can come up with. I feel like we can go beyond just trying to get every kid as many matches as possible. I would love to see us try and form a community that develops all the beginning wrestlers.
4. I think dual meet tournaments are much better; however, they are not the norm and there are only a handful across the state.
5. Yes, I like joint practices, but they are hard to organize and hard to get another coach to buy in to it.
For matside weigh ins- there would only be FFs if kids are cutting weight and miss weight. If kids understand they need to be under a certain weight all day they would not cut weight. Weight management doesn't need to be part of the sport - and the weight assessment is gameable and kids are still cutting lots of weight.
