I think it is all about finding the right level of competition for your team, one year my son's team was a solid team in the MCC but went over to the Keegan Langhoff tourney somewhere on the wet side and they had all their starter in the finals, sometimes vs their JV practice partner. They were wrestling state placers but not at the level they were both used to, I am certain my son pinned the bracket in the first round and he nver went to state all four years
