So girls wrestling is the only sport in high school where you have to be combined with the entire state to be considered “good” and not have watered down state. Every sport boys or girls has multiple classifications. But let’s make girls wrestling one division so we can brag about winning the entire state. Good for you if you coached a girl state champion in all divisions. But your gonna sit here and act like when or if one of your wrestlers wins a state title your gonna tell them well it was way easier. That’s crap. The elite girls and boys no matter the division will go on to compete at national tournaments and get more recognition from those than they do a state title. No one 5 years from now is going to talk about how someone did not deserve to be a state champion at a certain weight cause in your opinion that weight class wasn’t strong. Your the same boy coaches who move your wrestlers around to find “easier” brackets so your kids can place. Girls will stay one division if you leave your boys in the toughest weight class knowing they don’t have a chance to win it or place high
