I think you're trying to make a case for scale, and since we cannot scale ourselves to work 24/7, you either due it via a product/service/labor.

If people don't want to run their own business, learn to solve problems, and be fully employed earning 200k+ a year, with benefits, and time off etc...they become engineers(computers, structural, mechanical).

Truth is, at the right company, they make well over 200k+.

Electricians who word steadily now earn 130k+ a year.
