One of the powerhouses in the state just hired a coach there at Chiawana. One of the best programs in the state. If Plata, Nunez and Garcia were all interested in the job, who would get it? My personal opinion, would be Plata. Although you don't hear about him on Instagram, Facebook or other social media much, he is very very good. Kids come first not his own business or agenda. My point is that these guys are good club coaches and are trying to make a name for themselves. If your kid has talent, they will approach you if your kid doesn't prove them wrong. Kids like London Houston, Zeta Lee, Taylor Wilson, Kennedy Wilcox, Victorya Torres, Kayla McKinnley- Johnson and others....their path didn't need to go through Empire or Tony and they were still very successful. It's the nature of the beast. As for the comment about no college wrestling been here in this state is because of the conversation. You are giving this message board way too much credit. It doesn't have that kind of power, and those that really care about the sport don't post on here much. I personally find it entertaining and if you are in any structured wrestling circles, some of this stuff is already known or debunked.
