The number of participants between states is not even close because of certain programs in certain state that focus solely on specific styles.
We have too many girls who only do high school and don't do freestyle. The national team has grown in numbers for the past 4 years roughly, but they are still one of the smallest compared to teams who bring 90+ kids like cali,texas,etc...
Look at how many former national team ladies are doing it big right now! We have a ton of potential!!
Getting programs to commit to developing girls in freestyle is far and few between we know because we have to travel far and wide to find teams who will work with our girls, let alone coach freestyle.
My opinion is getting everyone on the same page for this to happen, and right now, few are willing; most don't care....
it's easy to see who's putting the work and those who are not.
