I like your reference of an investor reading People Magazine vs reading the Wall Street Journal. I have covered all ages on the main website over the years but it became apparent that the wrestling audience in Washington is much more focused on the high school age group than on anything else. Just a fact of life and that is okay. The site has evolved over time to reflect what is most important to the current wrestling community. I can't "make" someone love any specific age group of wrestling. They love and have an interest in whatever they choose, not what we choose for them. Make sense?

I watched the NCAA semi-finals yesterday and it was a little hard to watch as I don't really know who the wrestlers are compared to 10-20 years ago when I knew who all the best ones were. Wrestling is the kind of sport that is most compelling to watch if you know the participants and have a vested interest in the outcome. It is just reality.

I did come here first yesterday, just looking to see if someone posted an update on Washington wrestlers. After I saw some names I went over to trackwrestling and looked it up on the brackets. They do a good job.

For those posting that say someone doesn't know who Dave Gilbertson is then they need to get a clue. At the top of this page it clearly states that I created and maintain this board and on the website it has my picture on the front page. I don't know how you go frequent either site and not see that it is run by me. I guess maybe I need put up an "About Dave" page so the new folks no my 50 years history of wrestling involvement. I am getting older and my relevance in wrestling is waning. That is okay too as I have always done the best I could and hopefully I leave a good legacy of service.
