I believe that the situation that Noname is referring to is not one where the superior wrestler is working on moves. A wrestler who is that superior does not gain anything by letting the kid up and taking him down until the score is 23-7. A tech fall that is a result of the losing kid not giving up is one thing, but a tech that is the result of toying with the weaker opponent is something akin to running up the score in any other sport. It is a very bad look for the dominate wrester and an awkward and embarrassing situation for everyone else. I witnessed at the state tournament a dominate kid letting his opponent off his back directly to a cut to score another takedown. Cutting a kid 7 times in a match to score another easy takedown is toying with an opponent. I see no need to excuse such a classless and merciless treatment of a weaker opponent by saying he was working on moves or that the other kid just needs to get better.
