Both Coach Nunez and Coach Garcia are very good coaches and have strength and weaknesses that could help to fuel the program but like it or not the program has been headed upwards the last 4 years under Nunez! If you take all of the personal BS out of it and actually listen to the man talk his goal is to get WA Women wrestling at the next level and he speaks to that and to TEAM WA at every National Team camp and meeting TEAM WA! Not INTC, Empire, Ascend or any other club TEAM WA with one goal to try and get as many of our girls wrestling in college as possible!
Iíve been to his camps and I sat in Fargo this year and listened to him talk to the kids there was no hidden agenda when he was addressing them! The girls were told that if they wanted a club coach in the corner as well as a Team WA National Team Coach all they had to do was make sure they got them there, so if they werenít there thatís on the club coach!! Most were there, if they didnít have boys wrestling!
Nothing but respect for him and the rest of the coaching staff! And really anyone who volunteers their time away from family to better our sport and to help our kids!!
At some point adults need to grow up and start acting like adults!
Making kids choose between high school and club, i find that hard to believe (coming from the same drama filled parent as always) as there were some TT kids that chose to do both because they lived too far to make the 5pm practices. But they chose just like the kids that chose to wrestle freestyle in the spring instead of HS wrestling and it appears to have paid of for most as they brought home a few stop signs for their efforts and will be back in the HS room next season!!
