Amen brother! They say that in any group 40% of the people are bat-shit crazy (this includes both the left and the right), and it’s the 60% in the middle that keeps the train on the tracks. Unfortunately, it appears that 40% is well represented on this message board. I empathized with the impact this will have on the athletes (my son included), but this is bigger than wrestling. The fact that a money grubbing organization such as the NCAA would cancel “March Madness” – who’s TV revenues provide 90% of the NCAA’s funding – should bear out there might be something to this (unless they too are somehow part of this deep-state conspiracy?). Wrestling will survive – it has for a couple thousand years. And God willing, so will all of the athletes, coaches, parents and wrestling supporters on this thread (even the bat-shit crazy ones).
All that said, I must take exception to the “do some research” quip when promoting the anti-vaccination conspiracy. Try to find even ONE peer-reviewed study that supports anti-vaccination. You won’t be able to – as it doesn’t exist. An easier task might be to ask grandma or grandpa (or great grandma/grandpa depending on how old you are) what it was like to have bothers and sisters die from diphtheria, whooping cough, typhoid, etc, or go through a summer during a polio outbreak. Many (most) of you won’t know what I’m talking about because these blights have faded from our collective memory. But as last year’s measles outbreak showed, the anti-vacc effort can bring back these good ol’ days if we’re not careful. Vaccinate your kids. Wash your hands. Don’t pick your nose.
