In addition, if you split Metro into two subconferences just for wrestling, those subconferences still have to go to a region. Which region can handle eight more teams joining it? Or, how would you justify the logistics of splitting Metro into multiple subconferences and spreading them amongst the four regions across the state?
For almost every sport other than wrestling, ADs don't want Metro schools in their classification, region, or district. And the district is too big to split just within wrestling. It's a problem, because we know we're well behind the rest of the state in the overall quality of our wrestling, but we all agree that the answer is to get better. And trust me, we're working on it, but with all the factors crippling wrestling in our area, it's going to take awhile!
