That sounds fine and dandy but realize that probably all varsity refs in the state were working last weekend to cover all the districts. If refs go "find something else to do" then we will have to start cancelling events because we lack the manpower to fill all the spots. Yelling and screaming at an official in anger only drives more people away from doing it. Many of us have "have something else to do" (I have LOTS of something else to do) but officiate out of an obligation to the sport and it's participants.
I can't really think of any time that screaming and yelling is the best approach to handling a problem. JMHO
