It is really sad that you (SK) are so worried. The cream will rise to the top and you should give your kid more credit. Anyone can beat anyone if they want it. Let your kid prove himself. You seem to want all the other kids to seek the best but get upset when one of the best is at your kid's weight? Would your kid's championship metal have meant less because he didn't go up to seek out the kid? I mean that's what you wanted the other kid to do. You wanted him going up one or two weight classes for better matches. But your kid should stay at his weight and hope no one moves into his weight class? Someone outed the kid weeks ago and everyone knew he was going 138.
Your kid had time to cut (but there was Maka there). He could have gone up a weight claas (but there was Starren and Vaughn there). Could have gone up 2 weight classes, like you wanted Vaughn to, (but there was Wheeler and Johnson). You gambled against the inevitable cutting Gods and didn't get the result you wanted. Adversity goes both ways. Your kid has a state title. Let him prove himself. Give him some credit. If he wins it he can boast to beating the kid. If he loses he can say he had a tough match and gave it his best.
Good luck to all.
