Hi had this vehicle recovered into us as a non start on key ( engine not turning over ) We scanned system and had a code of 5604 - P0850 park / neutral input switch open or short. all lights come on dash when ignition switched on and we can move it out of park to any position but it will not turn over, we put a feed to starter and it runs fine, dealer say all controls are part of lever assembly at £645 + vat not sure what tests we can carry out to be sure its that.Brake switch must be ok for us to be able to move lever, any advice would be grateful. Thank you

I would check the engine bay wiring harness, at the back of the engine ,by the gearbox. Make sure there is no wiring/connector damage from water a/freeze ingress.

FIXED, As you said i checked wiring and opened up the loom and there was a broken wire, repaired and all ok. Thanks
