Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 TD - Slow cranking after DMF replacement #
Posted by Alan Lange on February 2, 2019, 8:47 pm Hello lads, I’ve come across this problem a few times (I can’t be the only one)! The problem I’ve had is a common rail diesel won’t crank fast enough to build sufficient rail pressure after new clutch & dual mass flywheel replacement. I’ve fitted new starters before & problem solved. My thought is that the old flywheel & starter gear had worn together but new flywheel & worn starter gear don’t mesh correctly causing slow cranking. Does anyone have any tech bulletins or any other thoughts (as I’m being taken to court over this issue by a customer who wouldn’t listen to my advice).
