boot lid will not open suspect latch motor fault as it will not open on key or the release switch. The blend is not across as shopping is in the boot so cannot open the roof for access.
Have removed rear seats and found a very restricted opening but will have to cut the boot trim before I can see what exactly is there, but before I do that was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

I think the only way in is to cut the boot trim for access to the torx bolts. Recently had a similar issue on a Volvo s40,but the boot trim was more flexible. Interestingly ,the new boot lock from Volvo incorporated an emergency pull release cable.
