Peugeot 407 2006 - Slight steering judder #

Year of Manufacture *: 2006

When driving slowly turning from left to right at junctions slight judder felt through steering wheel, we have flushed fluid and filled to 25 mm above level
We have checked through steering mechanism
About six months ago had a front suspension overhaull new lower swivels ect/ the steering wheel turns with hardly any resistance when driving and when jacked up engine off wheels lock left to right with no excessive roughness
There seem to be no restictions in pipe work when we flushed with engine running oil went throgh easily
The bad news for us is having competed these check we replaced expensive electic pump with the customers permission howeverits still the same
Has anyone else had this trouble and found out what the cause is Thanks PhillW

Hello PhillW,
Is it juddering while moving or only stationary?
Have you checked the wheel rims, inner and outer to flat spots from pot holes or curbing?

its most noticable when stationary ie parking and its still there if you bring uo the revs slightly (just in case in an amps fault) when driving normally you forget about it and dont notice it Its better than it was before pump fitted but i know the owner will will notice it because he will be looking for it, I dont have another car to compare it with

I had a customer with one of these and it would judder at slow speeds. It seemed to be foaming in the reservoir. Tried the top up to 25mm above level as per Autodata.
Sometimes would be ok for a while then would foam and sometimes overflow.
Spoke to Peugeot and there is a modified pipe for this issue.
My customer declined the repair and sold car as it needed lots of repairs.
Might be worth a phone call.
