Peugeot 3008 2.0 HDi 2010 - Code P02686 - Fixed #

Good evening all,

Calling any peugeot experts!!,

I have a customers 3008 none start with a fault code of p02686,fault msg supply of sensors 5v n03 (camshaft, engine speed and rail pressure.

checked all fuses, found ok, swopped the under bonnet fuse box ,nil fix.
replaced the crank and cam sensor, nil fix.
checked the voltage at crank sensor with ignition on between pins 1 and 3 ---3v indicated.
looked for trouble shooting on diagbox unable to find any help.

Has any body had this before?
ps slaved a new engine ecu in to see if the voltage at the crank sensor changed to what auto-data suggests should be 5v but no change.
I am unconvinced that it is the ECU at this stage so don't want to program it in due to the cost.

Any help welcomed.

Hi

If its a hall type sensor 3 volts does not sound correct, what is the voltage on the cam sensor and rail pressure sensor ?

Hi Mark,I would connect volt meter onto crank sensor and disconnect various components to see if voltage changes,had this on occasions where egr was causing a short.

Hi Aidan,

Showing 3volts, I intend to disconnect all of the sensors one at a time
and see if the voltage changes,I am sure it should read 5v.

Will keep you informed.

I would agree sound like a sensor or wire shorting out and sinking the voltage.

if disconnecting sensors make no change you could try a wriggle test on the wiring while monitoring voltage

To the best of my knowledge that should be 5V.
You will need to disconnect all the sensors on that supply and then check to see if the voltage comes back up.
One that has got me on at least a couple of occasions now is the aircon dual pressure switch. Pull the plug off that and see if it's going green inside.

Fixed, replaced the engine ecu and all good.
