VW Golf MkV 2007 - OSR window working in reverse #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007

Hi Guys

Have a issue with the above car osr window works in reverse so when you press the switch up the window goes and a vice a versa. This is also the case when i control the window from the drivers side main switch.
Ive had a quick look and cant see any damaged wires or an aftermarket motor. Can the motor just fail in this way?
Can vcds change the polarity?

Has somebody fitted a s/hand motor?Could be wrong coding?I do recall fixing a window motor on an old TT with this problem.I released the 2 torx screws that held the motor magnetic body to the plastic frame and rotated 180 degrees.I think someone had been playing before.

Don't know this system but have had wire driven windows with wires wound wrong way in the past giving this symptom.

Uncoded door control units often work arse about face on Golfs.
Check the part number & coding is correct.
