I bought car as non runner so don't know the full story of original fault. Any way long story short the mechatronic unit was scrap (previous garage ripped the wiring ribbon) and fitted new unit and couldn't get it programmed so I bought car and programmed unit using KTS590 and etis the first time it was unsuccessful but it re-done the programming and came back successfully installed but I can't get the calibrations to preform it just cuts out of calibration and comes back with long ford error code (01.10.01.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00) and a P283E shift fork C position circuit high I'm pretty sure the mechanical size of box is okay and as the shift fork position sensor is part of the mechatronic unit there must be a fault within it. so my question is can I wipe the programming on the TCM and reprogram with VCMII and etis which I now have. According to Ford once the unit is programmed that's it no going back I'm thinking the unit programming has a glitch. I've have a second hand gearbox with mechatronic unit coming but would like to get to bottom of this one
Just got secondhand gearbox complete and reprogrammed to my focus as it had software from the other vehicle etis would let me reprogram to my vehicle which made me think that my box may be able to be reprogrammed to another vehicle.
