Toyota Yaris 2005 - Hazards flashing since clutch changed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2005

Hoping someone can help. Had a 2005 (old model)yaris in for a clutch but since it was fitted the hazards flash when I start the car. I highly doubt it's anything to do with clutch change & more to do with battery been disconnected. Does anyone know of a way to disarm this system? Customer won't be happy to drive with hazards flashing

Hi Robert

I guess this is an old model so fault codes / live data my not help.

Looks like AD has wiring diagrams for lights so may be time to have a look at them & test accordingly. There may be some interconnection with central locking so look at that to.

Any chance this has an after market alarm that my be causing problems ?

Delphi diagnostics. What do you mean full global read? Done a full system scan that came baclose OK. Live data only showing 3 keys programmed, sub key & key recognised.

I'm waiting to get the master key to see if locking/unlocking doors or on/off ignition with that key cures it.

What's strange is now when locking/unlocking car with key in door flashes hazards, customer has the car years & this never happened before. Can't find any trace of aftermarket alarm. Also noticed the security light on the dash flashes normal but when I start to put the key in the ignition the light goes solid (ignition off) unti I start it. Can't think though if it was toyota security why it wouldn't deactivate when the key is recognised by ignition. Might be aftermarket security hidden somewhere.
