Ford Ka 1.3 2005 - Brake master cylinder not available - Unresolved #

Posted by Martin Kelly on March 2, 2017, 8:13 am

Year of Manufacture *: 2005
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.3

This car needs a brake master cylinder but it is just not available anywhere, even Fords can't supply one.
We had this problem before on another Ka but they decided to scrap that one.

The cylinder is not a cast unit but the smooth black tubular shiny looking one.

Has anyone else had this problem and found an alternative?

Thanks, Martin.

HI Martin,
Just spoken to my local dealer, they said there was an option of 2 or 4 port cylinders, going by the 4 port option he said the cylinder was available from the factory, 3-4 days.
Part number 1101440 £218.20 + vat

Regards
Dave

You can trim a sheeps wool many times, but you can only fleece it once !

Hi Dave, sorry I should have said it's the 2 port option with ABS.
Could the 4 port option be used by blanking off the 2 unused ports I wonder.

Thanks, Martin.
