routine clutch job, until road test ,expected steering & esp abs lamps all to extinguish after a few yards,sadly no.g85 sensor should be calibrated in abs & limit stops using road testing,followed the procedures however it fails to allow basic setting in group 060 saying not possible.
in measuring blocks ,i think group 009 you can view steering angle sensor which is stuck at 0 ,no movement at all!
I've replaced g85 but no difference,you can see steering torque in group 010 if i can remember & they look fine but thats measured at rack not column.beginning to think the culprit is the column module which g85 clips onto ,this i think transfers the signal onto the can to abs controller?
any ideas on this one would be helpful
ps the rack & subframe were untouched during the job,i can get my head around it needing a calibration but to be not reading at all & have no warnings before the job ,the modern car!!!!

car was a 2006 golf

i fixed the ABS fault first and the steering angle sensor code fixed it self.

i had planned the job the other way around which could have resulted in pulling my eybrows out ( the hair went years ago)
