BMW X5 2007 - EPB not working #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007

Customer phoned in to say that he had the a/con serviced last week,and now the EPB not working.(usual story)!.Plug in for some diagnostic info,only to find no comms with module..?
And the result was?????
Over to you guys for an answer.

Simple, go back to A/C guy, probably spiked system, that is what I would do

I don't think the a/c guy would have any idea of what was going on.Took a look under the rear of car,only to find the Epb module has been stolen!!All the brake cables had been cut .Not the first time I have seen this either.

.Cust not too happy,now faces a bil of around £1k.

Blimey, never heard of that before, surely your customer has a valid insurance claim ???
