Vehicle suffers from intermittent non-crank problems. When it won't start the immo light flashes. Various faults are displayed on the driver information panel such as EPB failure. Code reading the car gives CAN bus faults in the PCM,ICM,SRS, EPB and EPS modules. Measuring into the CANbus on the DLC I have 60 Ohms between CAN-hi and CAN-lo but about 6k Ohms to ground. To my mind this is too low. If I disconnect the EPB unit the CANbus is about 14K Ohms to ground. If I disconnect the grey Lear connector in the passenger kick panel then the DLC is 7M Ohms to earth. All measured with the battery disconnected of course. I would expect resistances to earth to be in the MOhms region surely. It is just looking like I have two faults on the bus each of about 14K Ohms, seems a bit of a coincidence to me. Any ideas? Shaun
Customer has the car back on a temporary basis with the EPB module unplugged (It's an Auto so at least he has Park in the gearbox). If he gets no problems like this I will fit a replacement EPB module. Shaun.
