Jaguar XK8 4.2 - Nikasil bore engines #

hi guys i am looking for any info regarding these engine that were nothing but trouble in there days i am looking for the year jag stopped fitting the engine and started to fit engines with steel bores anything will help thanks . jim

I don't know the details with regards to years etc but as a rule of thumb if they haven't self destructed by 80k then they are unlikely too.
Only trouble with that is, by the time they reach that age the arse end has rotted away..
ps don't touch the Valet button under the dash without the master key otherwise you could be using the gas axe to get the boot open.. Other than that not a bad car to drive..
