Ford Mondeo 2011 - No brake or reverse lights #

Year of Manufacture *: 2011

Hi everyone hope someone can help with this.
Car has no brakelights or reverse. When hooked up to diagnostic machine it will run a test sequence through the lights and the brakelights will flash on, so we assume that the wiring from the fusebox behind the glovebox to the lights is ok. Also through the diagnostic we can see the breaklight switch being pressed,though there are 2 switches on the pedal not sure why?
So we assume the wiring from pedal to fuse box is also ok. Would you agree?
Phoned Ford and they said they'd never sold any and would be around 500-600 because it comes with the loom apparently.

Just want to be sure we're not missing anything.
Any help greatly appreciated

Fitted a used GEM to one of these before Christmas for these very faults. If you have access to eTIS you can fit a second hand one (even a keyless to keyed system).

I'm working from memory so excuse me if I miss something.
Go to Programmable module installation, then swop old with new when prompted. Then back into Programmable parameters and download ASBUILT data. Input asbuilt, go to PATS - module alignment and job done.

Admittedly I made the mistake of programming keys and had to get a spare cut as he only had one, I didn't realise at the time module alignment does away with that need.

Think OP needs to contact either dealer or someone like yourself Tony with a subbed IDS, aftermarket tools cannot do that procedure

Thanks for that. With the 2nd hand unit do the part numbers have to match exactly?

All but the last digit did, on the one I fitted. Which I presume is an internal upgrade.
I would only fit an equal or later version rather than an earlier version.

From memory the one had was a "b" and the replacement was "k"

eg: original 7G9T-14A073-DB and I fitted 7G9T-14A073-DK
