VW Transporter 2.0 TDCi 2010 (new shape) - Air bag light on - Fixed #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 2.0 TDCI

Hi,
I have this one in with airbag light on and fault description drivers airbag igniter high resistance. Ordered new clock spring as common fault, but light still will not clear. put 2.7 ohm resistor in circuit and light will not clear in till I test before clock spring, refit clock spring and test and light stays on.
Please help?

P.s I have had another genuine clock spring from vw and still the same.

do you mean at the clockspring connection or one before it?
does it have a steering angle sensor that needs calibrating?

Hi,
one before clockspring.
Not sure is steering sensor needs calibrating or not, there's no function on vag com to do this?

you've put the resistor in after the clockspring to rule out the airbag itself i assume?

Hi,
I tested before clockspring and after, before is ok and after it fails.
Aiden I thing that's the only possibility at the moment so my need loom.

can't you try to close up the connectors slightly first?

Hi
Any chance its the drivers side side airbag, one in the seat ?
Sometimes the descriptions aren't great.
Does it have a column control module ?
