Honda Accord Estate 2007 - Power tailgate failure #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007

Honda accord 2007 with power tailgate failure.
It came in 2 weeks ago, , tailgate would not open on key, interior button or handle, and ptg light on the dash.

Checked for fault codes , it had 2 permanent codes which wouldn't delete. Sorry haven't got codes to hand .
Live data showing good signal from switches.
Power getting to ecu in tailgate.
Anyway I disconnected battery, and it worked fine and codes cleared themselves.

Ok for a week then failed again.

I suspect the motor is getting itself in a muddle and shutting down.
My question is there a software update for this?
Or a motor fault.
Any suggestions

Have a good look at the wiring where it goes from body to tailgate common place for problems on most vehicles.

I did check the wiring and it looked ok.

Fault codes are b1380 and b1390.

Removed tailgate closer unit and cover , gear not fouling the lock / cover.
