Ford Fiesta 2003 - Second hand ECU fitted, no speedo #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003

Garage down the road had a fiesta with a bad ECU, they swapped it with one from a 2006 model and it runs great but has no speedo. I doscovered this is because the newer one has abs which it reads the speed from, is there anywhere to get around this?

Hi,
this will need it's programmable parameters changed to tell its got abs.
not sure if Dec S'S can do it or will it have to be IDS?

DEC does not have this function unfortunately

Hi Kris

Did you get this vehicle sorted? got the same problem. Also had the mileage disappeared in the dash?

Hi

Does anybody know if this fault can be sorted with a configuration or does it have to have new software loaded onto it?

Either configuration or by using as built data both using IDS should solve the issue.

IDS only afaik possibly avdi if you have ford licenses, not seen any other tool that could do this although FoCom might have that option?
