Renault Laguna 2002 - Immobiliser light on - Fixed #

Hi,
I recovered this in with no response from key card in slot. In body control module live data I could see no key card, tried spare key and no change. Replaced card reader and now can see card but red solid light still on dash and no start.
I have programmed all keys. In actuators I can operate ignition relay and starter relay with no problems. Live data shows immobiliser active, but also shows key card codes received and ok.
Do you have to programme card reader ?
I have no trouble codes in any modules, but I can't communicate with instrument cluster!
Help ?

I had a similar issue, turned out to be water ingress into the bcm. The sunroof drain blocked causing it. We took the bcm out and dried it out and it worked, the owner was getting rid of it so how long it lasted I don't know. Worth a look though.

Also Check for water ingress in under bonnet fuse box and wiring rotted away in the harness around the front of battery.

Hi,
Have checked uhc and ubf boxes for water ingress and non present.
Should I be able to comms with cluster ?
In live data of uhc it shows steering lock not working, got suspicion that s the fault! Any one no whether dec Ss can program new/ second hand one ?

Hi,
Had reset steering lock off Ebay for £65. When plugged in it matches code with uch.
Started up and all good.
