Jaguar XJ x300 1996 - SRS light on #

Year of Manufacture *: 1996

Hi

We have this car
air bag light comes on after 4/5 seconds
none of our scanners will communicate
check usual connectors in loom and put in some resistors in different places to no avail

You are going to have to get this on a diagnostic tool that will talk to it.

my delphi ,brainbee or carman dont have the software

I dont know every tool that will talk to your vehicle, but from the top of my head JLR (SDD) or DEC

Snappy are ok, launch have good coverage and Autel for all their faults cover Jag well.

Jaguar SDD/ids or Autologic if you have a friendly specialist nearby.

You could well be on the money mate, a lot of those vehicles used blink codes.

I had forgotten that, it must be an age thing

Had a gander in Autodata and looks like access is via a scantool.

Does the light blink koeo. May have similar definition to a ford system.

I have made one of my vids public for you to see what i did on the XJ I had with an airbag light on with no comms and no airbag light flashing. this should help you..

on mine it had to have new passengers airbag..

simple resistor in place of the airbag and the light went out, to prove the system functioned OK,

New airbag and all was good.. I suspect the dash had an issue with providing the flash code.. but what with the airbag costing over £1000 and light out, no point in going any further..
